| The entire system is integrated into a single menu system. You can customize the system to add non-accounting products as shown here under menu item 16. Many of the menus are checklists to help you remember the sequence and learn how to use the system. The menu files are user customizable (with appropriate security level) so the administrator can change security levels, MENU text and many other factors. | Notice the reference number in the upper left corner of the screen (GL-05). This reference number is directly indexed to the user manuals and reports. It is the 5th item on the main GL Menu. The system allows direct menu calls as shown by the call to AR-0701 indicated by the cursor near the center of the screen at the "SELECT:" prompt. This is a direct call to AR0701 -- AR Customer File Maintenance. |

Personalized Work Environment
- All the systems menus adjust to the security of each operator.
Each operator sees only those items that they are cleared to use. - Customizable HELP is always available along with hints.

| Breakouts The following screen shows an example of a Breakout in action. For example, in this screen we were in the middle of entering an A/P transaction when a customer called with an urgent question. The operator has just struck F9 for breakout. The operator has personally chosen the breakout jumps listed on the blue screen section. Cursor down or the entry of a single selection number will take the operator to the desired screen. The option is also there to key a new menu number at the top of the breakout window, should the operator like to go somewhere not listed on the short list. The system supports up to 9 consecutive breakouts, all returning to the screen which was originally interrupted. |
Links A link is similar to a breakout, except that links actually pass information along with the link. For example, lets say you are entering a sales order and needed to look up something about a stock item. You would simply press F10 while the cursor is in that item and the link would know that you are interested in more detail regarding that item, and no searching would be required to locate more information on that item. Indeed, one can continue to zoom for more detail in this manner until the needed information is obtained. Once you are finished with that lookup, you are of course, returned to the point from which the link was called. |

| All the Major Files can have Notes Attached These notes are dated and any number of notes can be attached to any record. A special WARNING note type can be assigned which will automatically show anytime that record is accessed.  |
There is also a Results Index The results index is a key word search that helps to locate a procedure for accomplishing a desired result. For example, lets say we want to put a vendor on hold so that no further payments are made. We would start the RESULTS search by pressing the F2 key to bring up the results index, then F4 key to go to the key word screen. Once we find the word HOLD, we can select the line that calls for "hold all payments for this vendor." |
